Slovakia's latest stamp
commemorates the 43rd anniversary of Folklore Festival Vychodna; an
exhibition of folk-music, song, dance, recital, folk-poetry, costumes,
embroideries, sculpture since 1953. The festival is the top exhibition of
results achieved by regular and systematic work of many institutions,
organizations, associations and individuals in the field of traditional
and folk culture.
The festival during its
existence expressively contributed in reviving, preserving and unfolding a
creative and public presentation of treasured values of our folk culture.
The results of this work
has put Folklore Festival Vychodna among the best undertakings of
traditional and folk culture in the world and also between associated
members of International Organization of Folklore Festivals-C.I.O.F.F. by
UNESCO.
