VI.
INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF GHOSTS AND SPIRITS
IN BOJNICE
1999
The theme of this year's
festival comes from Goethe's Faust and Margaret. It is drawing from it the
central idea of borders of human nature, behind which there is a world of
secret and magical power. It isn't the hell not it is purgatory.
The scene and stage of this story was the romantic Bojnice
Castle. Symptomatically the visitor found themselves in rooms of bad,
pre-hell, and witches prelude. Faust and Margaret were the guides to the
visitors. With these heroes we experienced, scary, educating and emotional
moments that kept us in suspense from the beginning to the end of the castles
tour. We met local and foreign monsters, witches, devils, and creatures from
different stories.
I truly enjoyed my visits to the festival and I also became
a sponsor by videotaping and photographing the festival. My reward was a
ticket to the grand ball in the largest room of the Bojnice Castle the Hunady
room on May 7. There were about 150 sponsors and the entertainment was just
fantastic. The food was delicious and it was an unforgettable evening.
