30th
ANNIVERSARY OF FOLKLORE ENSEMBLE
DETVA
PAGE THREE
I
n the main program we seen: Detva’s party, singing solo by Anna Duricová-Klimová,
At Detva’s hamlets, solo by heligonka player Jaroslav Jackuliak, Dance at Dúbravy,
celebrating the day of Saint John, the singers group of Jaroslav Jackuliak, Fašiangy,
Jaroslav Hazlinger and folk music DETVANČEK, Rozkazovačky,
Whose wedding is this, Singers and ŠATKOVEC-Handkerchief dance.
The
performance on Friday was simply unbelievable. Two dances that I enjoyed most
were “On St. John’s day” and “Whose wedding is this.” Saturday
evening there was another gala performance, this time only for invited guests
and a big party followed. We danced and sung folk songs until about 6:30 the
next morning. I wish folklore group DETVA all the best on their 30th
anniversary and many more years of successful representation of Detva’s
folklore and home and abroad.
