ORAVA'S SOUR
SOUP
To a pot with salty water we put peeled
potatoes add caraway seed, bay leaves, all spice and one onion split in
half and let it cook. When it comes to a boil we can add some cut up
carrots. Than we make soup thickener, sautéed flour in butter, and
slightly deluded, we pour it to the soup, adding some vinegar and sugar.
We cook it little longer and at the end we add little bit of milk. To
boiling soup we add so called lost egg, one per person at the time. You
crack the egg and slowly let it into the soup, so it stays in one piece.
You can also add clove of garlic and before serving, dill weed, sliced
very fine.
